NW Trail Alliance Cargo Trailer with Trail Machine: STOLEN

Source- Raul Atencio/BikePortland.org/Twitter

The Portland-based non-profitNorthwest Trail Alliance is scrambling this morning after finding out that a trailer full of trail-building equipment — including a $75,000 tractor for building singeltrack — was stolen last night.
According to the group's president Tom Archer, the trailer was parked in the maintenance yard of Stub Stewart State Park (about 35 miles northwest of Portland near Vernonia). Archer is asking everyone to keep their eyes peeled in hopes that they can track it down.
Please be on the lookout for an 18-foot, enclosed, gray utility trailer with the "Northwest Trail Alliance" black logo and the IMBA logo on both sides of trailer (license plate of U449427).

The NW Trail Alliance received a grant to purchase the ST240 machine in September 2010 and they've been actively building a network of mountain bike trails at Stub Stewart. Archer says there are only five ST240 machines in existence (they're made nearby in North Plains) and they'll eventually need parts and service.
Please call (503) 877-5637 immediately if you see the trailer or have any information.

Use Twitter To Communicate To HRATS Trail Stewards

Todays 'Social Networking' Tips to report a trail hazards or suggest an idea to HRATS Trail Stewards. Firstly I will explain Twitter's simplicity. While writing or texting out a 'tweet' finish your comment with #HRATS or #hrats. Then anyone with a Twitter account can read your comments under the searches. Those with an account can save that search and easily bring up all 'tweets' to read. Those good tweets may get 'Re-Tweeted' to share again. Twitter is like a big party. Enjoy the party.

If your on Facebook, 'like' the Hood River Area Trail Stewards page and communicate with us that way. Now communication is easier than ever to present your concerns, hopes and desires to the #mtb trails we all love.

Any questions, leave a comment.

More Trail Changes Ahead for 'Bad Motor Scooter'

Today allot was accomplished. We fixed the upper rollers and made them jumpable, dug hard on Pucker Corner making it lose its knarliness. Now its just part of the trail. Lots of good work to make riders of all levels happy. Check out these images for proof.

Thanks to Sam Pinner, Cory Tepper, Craig Cleary, Matt Klee, Dan L for busting out five hours of work to improve this trail.
